Bruce Hoberman, the CEO Proxibid offered to give a tour of the company. The tour will be a great networking event combined with intersting facts you’ll learn about this great company and its employees.

Proxibid begun as an add-on for auction companies wanting to bring their auctions online. The organization developed relationships with more than 2,500 auction companies and hundreds of thousands of bidders worldwide, helping to bring more qualified buyers and sellers together than any other online provider in the industry.
Bruce is the founder and former President of Homers, Inc., a retail/wholesale company which sells prerecorded music, consumer electronics and electronic home office products. He founded Homers, Inc. in 1971 and by 1993 it had expanded to 6 locations, 225 employees and approximately 15,000 wholesale customers. In 1993, Bruce sold Homers, Inc. and resigned as President, though he continued to provide the Company with consulting services through 1994. From 1994 to 2003, Bruce provided consulting services related to management and general business operations to various companies.

Dear CBA graduate students, professors, and alumni:
The CBA Dean and his wife, Dr. Louis and Janet Pol, are hosting a party at their home (14520 Burdette Street in Omaha) exclusively for all CBA professors, alumni, and graduate students. The party is on Friday, April 20th from 5:30 until 9:00 pm.
Food and beverages will be provided, and those attending are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share, but it is certainly not required! Please feel free to invite special guests and spouses to come along!

Union Pacific executive, Todd Rynaski will be our next guest for Networking Events
All CBA graduate students are welcome to join us for a Networking Event on Monday, March 26 from 5:00 to 5:50 pm in Mammel Hall Room 303C.
Our special guest for that evening will be Union Pacific executive, Todd Rynaski. He was a previous UNO CBA graduate, and begin his career with UP in 1995. He currently is the Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting and Analysis. He has also served in several other critical roles during his time at UP. He will also speak briefly about what it is to work for a large corporation like UP.

Omaha companies hire business students at Career Fair
March 7th was a busy day at Mammel Hall. The Career Fair started at 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Among companies were Applied Underwriters, Gallup, ConAgra, Northwestern Mutual, TD Ameritrade, NorthStar Financial. Pictures and Minutes from the MBAA Meeting
Our special guest for the meeting was Dean Pol. He presented on differential tuition – about $50 added to tuition fees per credit hour, about $300 for graduate students per semester. The Dean also outlined the vision on how increase in services and opportunities for students and also spoke about the need of having more faculty to provide more courses.
Other subjects were:
- Report on 1st Networking round table with Lt. Col. Wayne Peters. Christopher Lile presented other guest who will be interested in attending and speaking with MBA students.
- Nicholas Moore reported on the Social Networking event that took place at Happy Hour at Jimi D’s. For future we plan to do more. Stay tuned to out website and facebook page to find earlier.

- On Wednesday, March, 14 at 4pm, MH Room 323 Dean Pol will speak to at Econ Club Meeting. Also Kenneth Kriz will be speaking as well on “Tracking the Economy: Economic Indicators and Economic Condition”

Outstanding Alumni Breakfast
We will be hosting a breakfast from 7:00-8:30am for UNO students and alumni with a keynote alumni speaker, socialization opportunities for students, alumni, and Omaha businesses, and of course, a delicious hot breakfast. The speaker will begin at 7:30am and will take questions beginning at 8:00am.

March MBAA monthly meeting
MBA Association meeting will be on Monday, March 5th at 5:00 pm in Mammel Hall conference room 322H. The agenda contains all the subjects that will discussed. Our special guest will be Dean Lou Pol that will be speaking in the beginning.

MBAA Networking Event with Lieutenant Colonel Wayne S. Peters
Our special guest for the evening was United States Air Force, Lieutenant Colonel Wayne S. Peters. He currently Commands the 55th Medical Support Squadron which supports 53,000 eligible beneficiaries. He spoke with MBA students about current trends and issues in the public and military health care sectors. Stay tuned to participate in the next event.
